Japan. Nuclear Disaster Began Peace Bell Movement!

Image

Out of the horrific violence of man to man came the birth of the Peace Bell. This journey began in Japan 9 years after the atomic bomb was dropped on that country on August 6th and 9th, 1945. This movement began in April and June of 1954, first, with the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and Peace Bell and then with the Japanese Peace Bell at the United Nations, NY. Today’s nuclear problem was caused by nature to man.

Peace Bell Foundation Joins Many in Peace & Best Wishes in 2011 and Beyond

As we celebrate the World Day of Peace this New Year Day we recognize the many challenges ahead.

Everyday, after International Peace Day, bells should ring out and sing as reminders that peace begins within. BLESSING OF PEACE FROM THE MOON!

Back in July of 1969 Apollo II astronouts landed on the moon and posted this plaque…. “We came in Peace for all mankind.” Neil Armstrong, Michael Collins, Edwin E. Aldrin Jr.

We have made progress since then on many fronts but still if Peace is to Ring True! we have a long way to go.  Since Peace movements are picking up steam in this down turn global economic climate, we pray we stay the course and use dialogue and other means to resolve issues without these challenges leading to an...

OBEDIENCE RINGS TRUE FOR PEACE

Albert Schweitzer
Albert Schweitzer

He comes to us as one unknown-without a name- as of old by the lakeside he come to those who knew him not. He spoke to us the same words –“Follow thou me!” – and sets us to the task he wants us to fulfill. He commands, and to those who obey him, whether they  be wise ir simple, he will reveal himself in the toils, the conflicts, the sufferings which they shall pass through in his fellowship – and, as an ineffable mystery, they shall learn in their own experience who he is.
